AACE is blessed with a seasoned professional and an academia par excellence whose passion and drive for continuous learning and development know no bounds. Prof. Christopher O. Balogun is an Accountant, Economist, Education Consultant, Diplomat, and a rare entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Director General/CEO of The Institute of Charted Economists of Nigeria the founder of The Institute of Charted Economists of Ghana. He is also the founder and president/chancellor of AACE. Prof. Balogun is a fellow and member of several professional institutions in Nigeria and outside Nigeria, a Fellow and Life Founder Member of the Association of Certified Commercial Diplomats, London, United Kingdom, and several others.

The Objectives for which the College is established are as follows:
1. To provide instruction and training in the field of advanced learning in economics and to organize seminars, inductions, and convocations for new and old students.
2. To award deserving candidates such certificates, testimonials, and conferments, as may be appropriate.
3. To enter into all agreements necessary to secure the services of lecturers, Teachers, tutors, instructors, researchers, and other staff and to seek affiliation with other tertiary institutions via consultancy.
4. To establish scholarships and bursaries and to award the same and other benefits to deserving candidates.
5. To provide consultancy services and to act as proprietors of any journal or publication.
6. To organize workshops, seminars, and training for candidates desirous of advanced knowledge in economics.
7. To do all such other things as may be considered incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
